Sinclair Spectrum
Software that emulates a Sinclair (ZX) Spectrum computer on Windows operating systems.
BASin is a bit different than other emulators. Where most are geared towards playing games, BASin is setup for programming.
BASin is an advanced Sinclair Spectrum development environment based around the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k and 128k models. It provides a user-friendly and powerful IDE (Integrated Development Environment) which makes programming in this exciting and frivolous language an absolute joy. It is not just a simple interpreter - BASin utilises a very fast and accurate emulation engine which guarantees a high degree of accuracy and compatibility with other Emulators and their file types[1].
Fuse (the Free Unix Spectrum Emulator) was originally, and somewhat unsurprisingly, a ZX Spectrum emulator for Unix. However, it has now also been ported to Mac OS X, which may or may not count as a Unix variant depending on your advocacy position. It has also been ported to Windows, AmigaOS and MorphOS, which are definitely not Unix variants.
Emulates 16kB, 48kB, and 128kB versions of Sinclair ZX Spectrum, as well as Spectrum +2, +2A, and +3. Speccy supports .Z80, .SNA, .TAP, and .TZX formats.
SpecEmu is a rather complete ZX Spectrum 16K, 48K, 128K +2 & +3 emulator that appears to have very high compatibility.
